Greetings Ridge Top Community! I am beyond excited to announce that I will be joining the Ridge Top community as the tennis director for the summer of 2019 and beyond. Ridge Top holds a special place for me as I was able to teach, work and enjoy the summer of 2005 and 2006 there as Mike Quitko’s assistant. (Mike Quito was the Tennis Director at both Quinnipiac University and at RTC for many years.) Q, has not only been my coach, friend, mentor and father-like figure, but showed me what compassion and enthusiasm can bring to any atmosphere. I have spent the last 12 years at The Woodbridge Club with Chris Raffone as his assistant. I was fortunate to be able to support a strong program there and I am looking to bring that experience and knowledge to RTC. I can’t wait to build upon the great community that I know exists at the RTC and ensure that the best tennis courts in Southern CT (thanks Vinny and RTC board) get the playing time they deserve!

A little background about myself. I grew up in Glastonbury, CT and consistently ranked amongst the top juniors in USTA through my tennis playing career. I followed that up with a 5 year (red shirt) collegiate experience at Quinnipiac University on the men's tennis team. During my time at QU, I earned four All-Conference selections, one each year between singles and doubles and one academic All-American selection. During this time, I earned a B.A. in History and then in 2008, an M.A in Education. This has led me to my current position, which I have held for the last 11 years, as a 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher at Twin Valley Middle High School in Whitingham, Vermont. I am USPTA-certified and teach tennis in Southern Vermont as well. Teaching is my passion and I have been so lucky to turn it into a career.

I am looking forward to getting out on the courts with you all, having fun, and seeing RTC tennis flourish! Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, and ideas. I will soon be sending out questionnaires and materials and will be making a social media presence. So please stay tuned. See you on the courts!
